How Successful Is FUE Hair Transplant?
In the early days of hair transplantation, the results look unnatural and often were spaced far apart compared to natural hair growth. As technology advanced, there are now medical devices that can operate on a smaller scale than humans can and which create more natural looking results. This modern method is generally known as follicular unit extraction or FUE hair transplant. How successful is FUE hair transplant?
Out of the various hair restoration methods FUE hair transplant is the most effective and long lasting. While Minoxidil and similar medications are effective, they have to be consistently used. Hair transplant is usually a one-time procedure. Occasionally, patients will undergo another hair transplant in their lifetime, but this is usually many decades after the first.
The transplanted hair usually has little issue taking root in the transplantation area. With that said, it does not mean every single hair will survive. A small amount of the transplanted hair will fall out during recovery. However, the surviving hair will grow like natural hair and has the added benefit of being hormone resistant which prevents more hair loss in the future.
