Internationally recognized plastic surgeon, Dr. Javad Sajan, is highly skilled at tailoring each facelift procedure to the individual patient. Come see Dr. Sajan for beautiful results from our facelift clients.

Benefits of a Facelift

Our Seattle facelift, or rhytidectomy, is actually a series of surgical techniques performed to reduce signs of aging on the face and neck. When performed correctly, and by a seasoned plastic surgeon, it is designed to:

  • Reduce sagging that occurs in the mid-face region
  • Diminish creases below the lower eyelids
  • Address lines along the nose and corners of the mouth
  • Remove or redistribute fatty deposits
  • Address excess skin and fat underneath the chin
  • Reposition the underlying tissues and muscles for a taut appearance
  • Improve the appearance of unsightly jowls
  • Restore a youthful appearance

In addition, a facelift can help you gain confidence by recovering the more youthful face you used to love and enjoy. When you can love your face, your confidence shines through and helps you age more gracefully as the years go by.

The ultimate goal for our Seattle facelift patients is to have skin looking and feeling naturally refreshed and younger. Dr. Sajan's goal is to make you look as if you have been on a relaxing, rejuvenating vacation. Internationally recognized for his comprehensive approach and technical skill, he is one of the top plastic surgeons in Seattle for your facelift procedure results.

When Should You Have A Facelift?

Best Facelift In Seattle

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons published an article in 2011 stating that there are many benefits to getting facelift surgery when you are young and have "early or minimal signs of facial aging." Most people talk about getting a facelift when they are in their 60's or 70's, but studies have shown that patients in their 50's or younger have better long-term results than those who wait until later in life to get a facelift. The same studies showed that patients in their 60's who got a facelift were younger looking and appeared more rejuvenated than others the same age, but were more likely to "regress."

If you want to continue to look youthful and refreshed in your 60's and 70's, don't wait until then to have facelift surgery. Consider getting one in your 50's, or even younger. Ultimately, you should discuss your desires with Dr. Sajan, and he will help you work out the best plan to keep your face looking bright and young.

Your Facelift Surgery

Facelift Seattle

There are a few different options for our Seattle facelift surgery. The first several decades of facelifts were essentially skin-tightening procedures. The skin was pulled tight, and the loose and saggy parts were cut off. Then SMAS facelifts were the rage. In this procedure, the skin is separated from the muscle and fat underneath. This muscle and fat layer is then pulled tight and tailored, or sometimes folded. It looks less pulled than skin-tightening procedures.

Dr. Sajan will work with you to choose the facelift procedure that is right for you, but whenever possible, he will perform the deep plane facelift. The deep plane facelift procedure provides the most natural and youthful results.

This procedure involves releasing and repositioning the facial soft tissue that can droop and sag with age. Because there is no tightening or pulling in the procedure, especially on the skin layer, the deep plane facelift, as performed by Dr. Sajan, can appear as if no procedure was performed. Imagine having a facelift done where it simply looks as if you spent the weekend at the spa and came back looking younger and more rejuvenated. Not only does the deep plane facelift look more natural, there tends to be less of the scarring and irregularities that can be found with other facelift procedures. Plus, the deep plane facelift is longer lasting than other facelifts.

Your Recovery

Immediately after your procedure, your head and face will be loosely wrapped in bandages to protect the area and help minimize swelling and bruising. For the first couple of weeks, you can expect to experience numbness, discoloration and pain in the area. However, Dr. Sajan will provide you with detailed post-surgical guidelines and medication to help you manage the discomfort.

Most of our patients feel comfortable returning to work within ten days, with their full healing process lasting up to several weeks. However, Dr. Sajan will provide you with a personalized recovery timeline during your post-operative appointments, based on your progress.

Naturally You

The best outcome of a rhytidectomy is when you look naturally refreshed as though you have been on a deeply relaxing vacation. When you feel more confident of your appearance, you feel better about yourself in general.
