Your breast augmentation and tummy tuck are combined into one surgery, which provides you the
benefits you want with only one recovery time. Your surgery will be customized to suit your
exact needs, from the size and shape of your breasts to the type of tummy tuck and abdominal
results you want.
Both the breast augmentation and tummy tuck are highly customizable procedures.
Breast augmentation--implant options
Breast implants come in a variety of sizes, shapes and profiles. Additionally, there are a number
of options for the way the implants are placed and which incisions are used. Dr. Sajan will
guide you through this decision process so that you feel confident about your choice of
implants.
Saline implants
Saline implants are a silicone gel on the outside filled with sterile saltwater. Before they are
filled, they are inserted into a small incision. The incision is usually in the armpit or belly
button. Once the implants are placed properly, they are filled and carefully adjusted so that
each one has the proper amount of liquid in it. Dr. Sajan will achieve results for you that are
symmetrical, round and beautiful.
Saline implants have less of a natural feel and may move less naturally than silicone implants.
However, saline-filled implants are the only implants approved for patients who are 18 years
old. Saline-filled implants are also harmless and immediately noticeable in the rare case of a
rupture.
Silicone implants
Silicone implants contain a thick, silicone gel. They look very natural and feel very natural to
the touch. Silicone implants also provide a natural shape and bounce. With silicone implants,
the level of viscosity, the shape and the texture of the implants can be modified to your
preferences.
“Gummy bear” implants are one of the silicone implant options. This very popular type of implants
are made with cohesive silicone gel formed into a teardrop shape. These implants feel the way
natural breasts do, and provide a plump, natural look that closely mimics natural breast tissue.
Gummy Bear implants typically leave the patient with less scar tissue and have a reduced risk of
folding or rupture.
Tummy tuck--procedure options
Your tummy tuck can be performed in a number of different ways, based on your unique physical
needs and your aesthetic goals.
Full
Also called a traditional tummy tuck, this procedure includes an incision across the lower
abdomen, which is made at the underwear line so that it can be easily hidden. Once the incision
is made, the skin is pulled downward and tightened, excess skin and fat is removed, and the
muscles are tightened to contour and shape the abdominal areas.
Mini
If you don’t require very much correction in the abdominal area and would like to focus on the
area only beneath the belly button, a mini tummy tuck may be the best procedure for you. The
mini tummy tuck is best for those who have less severe loose skin beneath the belly button.
Reverse
A reverse tummy tuck addresses excess upper abdominal skin. The incision is made in the crease
below the breasts, which hides the scars well. This procedure reshapes the upper abdominal area
and creates a smoother, tighter contour.
Extended
An extended tummy tuck includes a longer incision so that the flanks (love handles) can also be
sculpted.
